Karen Berrios Shop – clean, therapeutic grade formulations should be the model for nutritional supplements

Karen Berrios Shop was founded on the premise that clean, therapeutic grade formulations should be the model for nutritional supplements. Bearing the standard of purity and performance our philosophy stands on promoting health and well-being.

About the Founder:

Karen is a cancer survivor and a mom of three amazing kids who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2014 and took it as a sign to transform her life. She went on a path of holistic healing through religion and powerful Peruvian superfoods and discovered her true purpose and a completely new way of living life. She took what is considered to be one of the hardest things a person can go through and completely transformed her life for the better. Being from Peru, Karen drew from her roots and discovered the incredible healing powers of her native country’s superfoods. From chia seeds and cacao powder to goldenberries and maca, Karen started incorporating these amazing foods into her diet and nourishing herself inside out. Accompanied by daily prayer and her trust in the Heavenly Father, Karen found a way to heal herself, strengthen her immune system, and fight off this serious disease. Her mission is to help others going through the same or similar diseases and show them that they have the power to heal within themselves.

The reason Karen funded the company is to help others in their healing journey, support them with inspiring, motivational, and educational stories, as well as offer high-quality Peruvian superfoods and therapeutical-grade supplements so that everyone can start the process from the fundamentals: a nourishing and anti-inflammatory diet.

The Peruvian superfoods you can find in the Karen Berrios shop include only the highest-quality fruit and vegetable byproducts, brought straight from the Peruvian farmers without any middleman. Karen sells Criollo cacao and cacao nibs, chia seeds, goldenberries, maca powder, yacon syrup, ginger root powder, lucuma, and camu camu.

In addition to offering Peruvian superfoods, with every purchase we donate $1 to the Peace And Hope organization that helps the poor and protects them from violence and injustice. Their approach is funded on what they call the “circle of justice” which is rooted in three principles: Prevention, Intervention & Reform.

The market is currently saturated with wellness products and supplements and it’s due to people starting to take better care of themselves and wondering what to add to their diets to help improve their overall health and wellness. This is a revolutionary and welcoming new trend as people actively seek healthy food options and inquire about superfoods, hoping they will be the reason they start feeling better and potentially heal from whatever they might be fighting. This is where we found our opportunity and started offering superfoods and therapeutical-grade supplements to really help those who need support.

The best advice about business is to stay true to yourself and believe in the products you’re selling. Stay updated with the current market demands and believe that the right customers will come organically. When your true desire is to help people, it’s almost impossible not to succeed. That being said, be prepared for many challenges and obstacles, even if you don’t anticipate them at first. Don’t give up and be your own best cheerleader.
